The Omak Middle School and High School went into a “secure the building” condition today out of an abundance of caution. After a thorough investigation by our School Resource Officer and the Omak Police Department, it was found that no threat was made to a student and the buildings have moved back to normal operations.
The students and staff are to be commended for handling this action in a safe, quick, and timely fashion.
A student issued a verbal threat during lunch today. All middle school students were promptly brought inside. Both middle and high school students are currently under a "secure the building" protocol, with classes continuing as usual. Law enforcement is on campus and actively investigating the incident.

Robby and Ethan have gone above and beyond, from expertly painting and preparing our football and soccer fields to constructing a separation wall for the middle school and ensuring all playgrounds are winter-ready.
