Safety Update for North Omak Elementary
Last night at approximately 5 p.m., a report was made regarding a suspicious person across the street from North Omak Elementary School. The Omak Police Department responded promptly and conducted an investigation, but no one matching the description was found.
In an abundance of caution, Omak Police provided additional officer presence at the school today to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.
We appreciate the vigilance of our community and the swift response of law enforcement. As always, student safety remains our top priority. If you see something concerning, please report it to local authorities.

Excitement Builds at Omak High School’s Freshman Transition Night!
Omak High School recently welcomed 8th-grade students and their parents to Freshman Transition Night, an informative event designed to ease the transition into high school. The evening covered crucial topics such as graduation requirements, required classes, extracurricular activities, student responsibilities, and important paperwork that must be completed before the school year begins.
Principal David Kirk led the session, ensuring families understood the academic expectations and opportunities available at Omak High School. He also highlighted the various clubs and sports teams students can join to enrich their high school experience.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for students and parents to ask questions, plan ahead, and feel more confident about the transition to high school. With a clear understanding of what lies ahead, these soon-to-be freshmen are set up for a strong and successful start at Omak High School.

Big News for FCCLA President Aubrey Carlson!
Omak’s very own Aubrey Carlson is heading to FCCLA State from March 4-7, where she’ll compete in Career Investigation and run for a state officer position! This is Aubrey’s second year in FCCLA, and she’s already making waves as a dedicated leader.
On top of her FCCLA presidency, Aubrey is a Running Start student, holds a job, and still finds time to excel—talk about a powerhouse! We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see what she achieves next. Good luck, Aubrey—you’ve got this!
