Mrs. Hendrickson’s 3rd grade class had a special visit from Malcolm Griffes, the Okanogan Garden Coordinator from Classroom in Bloom! Malcolm helped our students kick off their garden projects with some exciting starts: tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños. These little seeds will begin their journey in the classroom window sill but will soon be transplanted into East's school garden when the weather allows. We are growing not just plants, but a love for nature and learning every day! We are always grateful for the collaboration with the Okanogan County Conservation District and Classroom in Bloom!

Last week in Mrs. Agee’s classroom, our 4th graders took on a STEM challenge to build their very own leprechaun traps using nothing but basic classroom supplies! The creativity and problem-solving on display were simply magical. Each trap was unique, blending art, engineering, and a dash of holiday spirit. We’re so proud of these young innovators for proving that with a little imagination, even the simplest materials can create something extraordinary.

Safety Update for North Omak Elementary
Last night at approximately 5 p.m., a report was made regarding a suspicious person across the street from North Omak Elementary School. The Omak Police Department responded promptly and conducted an investigation, but no one matching the description was found.
In an abundance of caution, Omak Police provided additional officer presence at the school today to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.
We appreciate the vigilance of our community and the swift response of law enforcement. As always, student safety remains our top priority. If you see something concerning, please report it to local authorities.
