Parent Lighthouse meeting Thursday, Sept 5th @ 6:00 pm at the East Elementary School Library.

The first day of school at East Omak Elementary is always a special occasion, filled with excitement, new beginnings, and the promise of a great year ahead. Students are welcomed with open arms, cheerful decorations, and the school's beloved mascot, adding to the joy of the day. The school goes the extra mile to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, with colorful balloons, themed photo spots, and smiling faces all around.

Team One volunteers brought smiles and full bellies to East Omak Elementary’s Back to School Night on August 26th! They served up delicious hotdogs and chips, making sure everyone felt welcome and ready for the new school year. Plus, they went the extra mile by helping with crosswalk patrol every morning during the first week of school, keeping our kids safe. We’re so grateful for their kindness and dedication—they truly make our school community a better place!

Resource Officer Roberto Lopez goes beyond his role of ensuring safety by engaging with students on a personal level. Here, he is seen sharing a musical moment with a student, creating a welcoming and approachable atmosphere. His efforts to connect with students through music and conversation help build a sense of community, trust, and openness. Moments like these demonstrate his commitment to not just being a guardian, but also a mentor and friend to the young people he serves.

Back-to School Night

Back-to School Night Aug 26th @ 5:530 - 6:30 pm

Greetings Omak Middle School Families and Community,
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Omak Middle School! As we gear up for an exciting school year, I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about myself and my eagerness to dive into this journey with you.
With 14 years in education, I’ve had the pleasure of working in various roles, including Assistant Principal, Director of Native American Education, Dean of Students, and over a decade of teaching in diverse districts across the state. I’m passionate about fostering a dynamic and supportive environment where every student thrives.
I firmly believe that our school’s success hinges on a strong partnership between students, parents, and staff. Open communication and collaboration are key, and I’m here to ensure we address our community’s needs and work together towards our goals. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any ideas, questions, or concerns.
Thank you for the warm welcome! I’m genuinely excited to collaborate with all of you to make this school year exceptional and memorable.
With Enthusiasm,
Audrey Hunt
Principal

School Supplies

We thank Chris Little at The Attic for sponsoring a school supply drive for the Omak and Okanogan School Districts! While the Omak School District provides students with basic supplies, this generous contribution significantly supports our schools, families, and community. Programs like Special Education, Title I, Music, and Library, which do not receive direct supply allocations, benefit significantly from these donations. Additionally, as we do not provide backpacks, these contributions are incredibly valuable and appreciated.

The third graders from East Summer School embarked on an educational field trip to explore the City of Omak. During their visit, they engaged in a simulated city council meeting where they proposed the installation of a new splash pad at the local park. Through this experience, they learned about the processes involved in city council decision-making. Additionally, the students toured the police and fire departments and also visited the newly constructed skate park.

2024 End of Year Awards and Retirements.
Congratulations everyone!!!!!
