Omak Middle School students took part in the Nature Immersion Program, where they were taken into the wilderness and learned survival skills. They learned how to be good stewards of the land, flintknapping, hide tanning, root digging, and basket weaving. They also learned how to build a shelter and create tee-pee poles.

Another great Board CTE meeting.
Students from the Middle School and High School presented several different projects that they are currently working on and have completed throughout the school year. The students expressed how much they enjoyed the CTE experience and wished that some of the new classes, like aviation, had been offered earlier in their high school careers.
Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are essential for providing students with practical skills and knowledge to prepare them for various careers. The hands-on learning showcases how CTE programs offer hands-on learning experiences that engage students and help them develop valuable skills.
