Celebrating Excellence at East Elementary!
Please join us in congratulating Stephanie Jones, East Elementary’s Lead Custodian, for being named the November Facilities Person of the Month!
Stephanie has made an outstanding impact since stepping into her role as East’s Day/Lead Custodian. Here’s what the team at East Elementary had to share about her:
“Stephanie has transitioned into her role beautifully. She is dependable, positive, and proactive. She is always friendly and professional with both students and staff. East Elementary is truly grateful to have her on our team!”
Stephanie’s dedication, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to creating a clean and welcoming environment for everyone at East Elementary make her a shining example of excellence.
Congratulations, Stephanie! Your hard work and exceptional spirit inspire us all.

East Omak Elementary received a $300 grant from Okanogan County School Retirees Association. Penny Garrison and Marcelle LaGrou gave a brief presentation about the association’s history and their current activities. Pictured is Carol Payne presenting the grant to LeeAnn Schrock, East School Principal. The grant will fund two jumbo Connect Four yard games for the new covered structure on the playground. East is grateful for the continuous support of the Okanogan County School Retirees Association.

Proactive Coaching - Saturday, January 18th from 2-4 pm
@ 111 John Street, Okanogan, WA

Our first week back will be our awesome East Elementary Coin Drive. All week, kids are encouraged to bring in their loose change to school (ask parents first). We will collect it each day and weigh it. All of the money goes to our Community Christmas Food Baskets at the Agri-plex. Hundreds of people from our town get Christmas food from this program, and we help support it. The change buys food for the baskets. Please send in any spare change from December 2nd to December 6th.

Happy Thanksgiving from East Omak Elementary!

East Omak Elementary announced the November Students of the Month at their Golden Awards Assembly today! Way to go East Eagles!

The 5th graders at East Omak Elementary have had a meaningful and engaging celebration of Native American Heritage Month! Participating in activities such as enjoying a performance by the Indigenous Enterprise Dancers, exploring traditional artifacts, sampling local foods like salmon and huckleberries, creating art, and listening to storytelling offers them a rich cultural experience. These activities not only honor Native American traditions but also help students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures and of our local tribe. We are certainly grateful for these opportunities!
