Miss Plakos’s Fourth Grade Writers Take Learning Outside! ✏️🌿
Some of East's fourth graders took their writing lessons out to the garden last week! These classes have been working hard on parts of speech, writing conventions, complete sentences, and grammar. Out in the sunshine, they met with Ms. Macy, the Okanogan County School Garden Coordinator, for a hands-on adjective writing activity. Students explored the garden using descriptive language to bring their surroundings to life—combining nature, creativity, and learning! 🌻📚

Every day in school truly matters — when students show up consistently, they build strong relationships, grow their confidence, and set themselves up for success. Let’s keep the momentum going as we continue through October! Together, we can help every student in the Omak School District reach their goals by being present, engaged, and ready to learn each day.
🚍✨ East Omak Elementary Attendance Goal! ✨🚍
East Omak Elementary is on a mission to boost regular attendance—from an average of 56% to 66% for the 2025–2026 school year!
You can help us reach this goal and make a big difference in your child’s school experience. Encourage your student to hop on the bus, show up each day ready to learn, and SOAR to new heights—academically, personally, and emotionally! 💙🦅
