As we settle into another exciting school year at North Omak Elementary, I continue to be inspired by the energy, enthusiasm, and resilience of our students, staff, and families. Our mission is to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and challenged to grow each day. From our youngest preschool learners to our second-grade students, we are committed to fostering a strong sense of community while maintaining high expectations for learning and behavior. Our focus remains on creating an environment where every student can reach their full potential. 

The start of a new school year always brings opportunities to build relationships, establish routines, and celebrate successes. I am grateful for the partnership we share with our families and community members, whose support plays a vital role in student achievement. As we move through the school year, I encourage families to stay engaged through school communications, attend school events, and connect with our staff whenever questions arise. Together, we will continue creating a positive and welcoming school experience for every North Star.

My name is Kris Clark, and I am the new Assistant Principal here at North Omak Elementary. I'm so excited to begin my administration career in the district I graduated from. I'm looking forward to serving and giving back to the community and district that helped shape me into the person I am today.  

My wife, also an Omak graduate, and I have 3 children and 2 granddaughters.  I enjoy golfing and spending time with my family.  

I have been an educator for 30 years! Boy, that makes me sound (and feel) old! I received a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University in Early Childhood Education and Reading, a Master's Degree in Professional Development from Heritage University, and an Administration Certification from City University Seattle in Educational Leadership. In my career I have taught 3rd grade, Middle School Reading, 5th grade, and the last 2 years as a Behavior Interventionist.  

I believe that every child deserves to feel safe, known, valued, and successful at school. In the K–2 years, children are developing not only their academic skills, but also their confidence, independence, friendships, and understanding of how to be part of a school community. I believe our job as educators is to support the whole child while helping each student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. 

As Assistant Principal, I'm committed to working closely with our teachers, students, and families to support learning, student behavior, school safety, and a positive school culture. You will see me throughout the building, greeting students, visiting classrooms, supporting teachers, and helping wherever I am needed. I especially look forward to getting to know our youngest learners and celebrating their growth and accomplishments.
