MELISSA OMER (THOMASON)

My name is Melissa (Thomason) Omer. I’ve been teaching in the Omak School District for the past 17 years. Most families know me as “Ms. Thomason”.  However, I got married this year, so I am now “Mrs. Omer.  This year will be my fifth year teaching 4th grade at East Omak Elementary. Previously I taught English Language Arts in the Omak Middle School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts from Heritage University (with an emphasis in both Elementary Education and Secondary English Language Arts). I absolutely LOVE teaching and helping kids learn and grow as students and as people. Besides teaching, I enjoy being a mom and hanging out with my daughters, riding horses, reading, hiking, backpacking, traveling and trying new things.
