Welcome to Omak School District!

The Omak School District is nestled in the Okanogan Valley in Eastern Washington state. Our district covers the cities of Omak, Riverside and Conconully, with about 1,500 students enrolled. We also host the Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA), with about 3,400 students across the state.

February Board Meeting Notes
The Omak School Board approved several contracts for projects, the 2018-2019 schoolyear calendar, and talked about safety at the Feb. 27 board meeting.

Omak School District will hold a Parent Safety Meeting in the Omak PAC this Friday, March 23, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Staff members and police will share about the policies and procedures in case of emergencies, and discuss plans for safety improvements. Comments, questions and suggestions will be taken from the audience.
The lockdowns at both Omak High School and Omak Middle School have been lifted, as investigation revealed no evidence of a credible threat. The regular schedule for both schools will now continue. Police will remain on scene for the rest of the day. Parents may pick up their students if they choose, following normal release procedures.
A threatening note was discovered in a bathroom at Omak High School this morning. This had led to a lockdown at the high school and soft lockdown at the middle school. Police are investigating and are on-site now. We will give additional updates as they are available.
